Incentive Travel

Designing Journeys that Move People and Performance

Most incentive trips are packaged rewards. The ones I design are strategic instruments—crafted to shift culture, deepen loyalty and align teams around what truly matters.

Over the years, I’ve created and hosted bespoke incentive journeys not only across Southern and East Africa, but also in the USA, Canada, the UK, France, Portugal, Russia, Brazil and Hong Kong—each programme tailored to the brand, the market and the people involved.

Every journey begins with a question, not a destination:

What behaviour are we rewarding—and what future behaviour are we trying to inspire?

From there, every element is built with intent:

  • Destination selection – Choosing places that carry narrative weight: African safaris that reconnect executives with the wild; North American or European cities that reflect innovation and resilience; vineyards and coastlines that slow people down long enough to talk.

  • Experience design – Balancing marquee moments (helicopters, private lodges, exclusive access, private dining in extraordinary locations) with quieter, intimate experiences that foster real connection between leadership and top performers.

  • Cultural and ethical alignment – Ensuring each journey respects local communities, supports conservation where appropriate, and reflects well on the brand long after the group has flown home.

  • Operational excellence – Obsessive attention to logistics, safety, privacy and timing—so that participants experience effortlessness, even when the underlying choreography is complex.

Because my background spans both ultra‑luxury travel and serious capital stewardship, I understand that incentive budgets must deliver emotional impact and measurable return. That often shows up in:

  • Improved retention and loyalty among key producers or partners

  • Deeper alignment between leadership and their highest performers

  • Stronger identification with the company’s values and vision

  • A clear, shared sense that extraordinary effort is genuinely recognised

Programmes have ranged from intimate, invitation‑only journeys for a handful of rainmakers to multi‑wave international incentives rolled out across several markets. In each case, my role is the same: to quietly ensure that every guest feels seen, safe and valued—and that the client’s strategic objectives are met without ever feeling staged.

Incentive travel, done properly, is not a cost centre. It is a lever—for culture, performance and loyalty. When you combine the right people, in the right place, with the right story, you create experiences that people talk about for the rest of their careers.
