The Moments Guests Carry Home
Ask guests what they remember most from a trip to Africa and you might expect them to say the lions.
More often, it is the evening. A table set for two above the river, the lanterns lit, the sky turning from gold to violet, and the bush settling down for the night.
Over the years I have built a safari lodge, hotels and guest houses, and hosted travellers from all over the world. What I have learned is that the moments people carry home are rarely the ones in the brochure. A game drive can be wonderful, but it is the quiet dinner, the conversation with a guide who has lived here all his life, or the unexpected stop on the road that people talk about years later.
Those moments do not happen by accident. They come from planning each journey around the people taking it: what they love, how they like to travel, and how much time they want to simply sit and take it all in.
That is why our private Visitors to Africa journeys are designed for one to six guests. No coaches, no crowds, no rush. We also host small groups of up to twelve, for families, friends and travel partners who want the same personal attention.
If you, your family or your clients are thinking about Southern Africa, I would be glad to help you plan it. Send me a message and we can start from there.
